lyrics
Once an orchid sat
In a silver light and
Solemnly waited
Slightly breathing
Touched its glistening tear
Only one dream away from
A perfect birth
One promise away from birth
One secret away from
One promise away from
One dream a-
One kiss away from life
From a life, from another life, you know.
Then when the sun rose
In a newer lighting
Lay his wings on her
Warm with his kisses
And touched her light feather
Just so they could breathe again
Just so they could feel the pain
Just to be reborn again
One secret
One promise away from
One dream a-
One kiss away from life
From a life, from another life, you know.
Then when I said
Sat his wings down
Yearning for our love
Over the whole

The sound of Iceland at night. Cold and gloomy but with a danceable pulse. Need to make a full visit someday. Fun fact: IcelandAir had their albums on the flight music selection. heavenorli
From my personal point of view by far her best album. Wonderfully spooky and beautifully arranged. The vocals are phenomenally good and deep. The whole album is a favorite of mine, the whole and each of its parts. And definitely in the special edition with 12 songs and 1 hour running time. Real masterpiece. starcad
On “Evolution,” múm’s Gyða Valtýsdóttir writes tiny, starlit songs, her delicate vocals wreathed by hushed instrumentation. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 14, 2018
